What is significantly different about HHW is that it is small woodland in which a large number of people are being employed through income primarily generated by working with excluded, at risk or unemployed young people. At HHW we approach the management of the woodland both in the traditional sense, as a habitat to be managed but we also utilise the natural resource to achieve other goals such as employment, education and training.
Hill Holt Wood is controlled by a board of voluntary directors representing local communities, local and national businesses and local councils.
