Course Description: The Build Your Own Wind Turbine course provides a rare opportunity to learn hands on skills in the preparation and construction of a wind turbine.

The course is taught by V3 Workers Co-operative at Hill Holt Wood and begins at 7pm Friday evening and continues until 4pm Sunday afternoon. Participants will receive in depth instruction on wind power production, understanding and estimating wind resource, basic electrics, blade carving and mast raising. The turbine design is based on the Scoraig model developed by Hugh Pigott.

The course fee is inclusive of teaching materials, food and camping fee. Participants can camp at Hill Holt Wood for the duration of the course, there are basic services available on site.
